Setting up Two Factor Authentication (2FA/MFA)
Updated this week

In today's digital landscape, security is paramount, especially when it comes to safeguarding personal and sensitive information online. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a robust security measure designed to add an extra layer of protection to your accounts beyond just a password.

Unlike traditional password-based authentication, which relies solely on something you know (i.e., your password), 2FA requires an additional form of verification, typically something you have or something you are. This could be a unique code sent to your mobile device, a fingerprint scan, or a hardware token.

By implementing 2FA, even if a malicious actor gains access to your password, they would still be unable to log in without the secondary form of authentication, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches.

2FA has become increasingly prevalent across various online platforms, from banking and email services to social media and cloud storage providers, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing account security and protecting user privacy in today's interconnected digital world.

You can setup 2FA for your RAM Tracking account from the top right menu. If you select My Profile you are then presented with a screen where you can Enable 2FA.
