Using the Timeline Feature

See how to review daily and weekly vehicle activity in the Timeline section. This video shows you how to track movements, check start times, and identify idling or late departures.

Updated today

The Timeline section gives you a clear view of your vehicles’ daily activity.
Watch the video below as Jamie explains how to use it.

Viewing the Daily Timeline

You’ll find the Timeline option on the left side of your tracking portal.

Here, you can select which vehicles you want to display.
The timeline runs from midnight last night on the left to midnight tonight on the right.
Everything in between shows your vehicles’ movements throughout the day.

Hover over any point to see details such as when the vehicle started its journey or stopped.

Understanding Timeline Colours

The colours help you read activity at a glance:

  • Blue: Ignition on (vehicle in use).

  • Purple: Idling (ignition on but vehicle stationary for at least three minutes).

You can easily follow each vehicle’s pattern of use throughout the day.

Navigating Between Days

Use the + Day and – Day buttons to scroll back or forward through days.
You can also add guidelines to compare activity, which is useful for checking if drivers are leaving sites early or arriving late.

Weekly Timeline View

Click Weekly Timeline at the top to view up to seven days of activity for a single vehicle.
This gives a clear picture of patterns over the week.

You can also use guidelines here to identify recurring issues; for example, a driver who regularly starts late or leaves early.

Summary

The Timeline feature makes it easy to review vehicle activity by day or week.
Track movements, check idling times, and spot behaviour trends to improve efficiency.
