Understanding Driver Behaviour Reports

Find out how scores are created and who the worst offenders are with our driver behaviour report analysis.

Updated over 2 months ago

The Driver Behaviour Report is one of our most used and most useful reports to quickly see which drivers are not behaving and equally which ones are doing well.

You'll find the report as follows:

  1. Click on the History Reports Button at the top of the page

  2. Select the Group Reports button

  3. From the top left or using search select the drivers you want to see (you can select all at the top).

  4. Select the date range (default is last 7 days and you can schedule this to land in your inbox weekly) and the format you desire.

  5. Add the email(s) you want the report to go to.

  6. Select the Driver Behaviour button and then approve.

Once you have the report and opened it up you can quickly see the qualifying events that make up the scoring system, from harsh braking and rapid acceleration to speeding and idling. These all contribute significantly to fuel overconsumption with wear and tear of the vehicle a factor when vehicles are driven erratically.

The calculations are based on distance, time, and the number of incidents to give an overall score.

For example, if one driver has more speeding instances but has also covered a significantly longer distance, they may have a lower score than someone with fewer speeding instances if they have travelled a shorter distance.

The higher the overall score (7) the more urgent the need for training is to ensure the driver fixes their habits and reduces their score.
