Watch this quick video walkthrough, then use the detailed guide below as your reference.

Your Home Screen Layout

When you log into RAM Tracking, your screen is divided into three main sections:

1. Top Navigation Bar

The top of your screen contains:

  • Main menu: Access to all features and reporting options

  • User settings: Click the person icon in the top right to manage your account

  • Other products: The nine dots icon gives you access to additional RAM Tracking products

2. Live Map (Centre)

The middle section displays your live tracking map, which includes:

  • Google Maps Integration: Switch between standard and satellite views

  • Street View: Drag the orange figure from the bottom left onto the map to get a 360-degree view of any location

  • Real-Time Tracking: See where your vehicles are right now

The Street View feature is particularly useful when you need to understand exactly where a vehicle is parked or located.

3. Vehicle List (Bottom)

The bottom section shows your vehicle information in a clear table format:

Vehicle Details

  • Vehicle registration number

  • Driver name

  • Group assignment (if configured in vehicle settings)

Location Information

The middle columns display:

  • Street address

  • Town

  • Postcode

  • Other location details for each vehicle's last known position

Status Information

The right side shows important vehicle status data:

  • Speed: How fast the vehicle was travelling

  • Direction: Which way the vehicle was heading

  • Signal Time: When the last GPS signal was received

  • Event Type: What was the last recorded activity

Understanding the Status Icons

Your vehicle list includes helpful status indicators:

  • Key Icon: Turns green when a vehicle is currently on a journey

  • Scope Icon: Shows GPS connection status (green = good connection)

  • Globe Icon: Click this to open the vehicle's current location directly in Google Maps

Quick Tip: Using the Globe Icon

The globe icon is a powerful feature for getting directions or ETAs. When you click it, the vehicle's exact coordinates are automatically loaded into Google Maps, making it easy to:

  • Provide directions to drivers

  • Get estimated arrival times

  • Share precise locations with customers or colleagues
