RAM Assist is a powerful tool designed to allow your managers maintain their vehicle fleets' MOT's, Tax, Insurance, Service & Lease due dates.

It also records your drivers entries on our RAM Assist App & in this article we will be covering the following:

To log in to the app, the driver needs to be added to the main portal. They will then receive an SMS with 2 identifying codes:

  • Mobile App Access Code - Unique to your companies account.

  • Driver ID Code - Unique to each driver.

The driver can also download the RAM Assist mobile app quickly via a link within the same SMS.

Tip: We recommend your drivers allow RAM Assist to remember the details, to activate this your drivers just need to turn on 'Remember Credentials'.

How drivers use RAM Assist

Vehicle Mileage

This is recorded in multiple areas of the app but can be entered directly by choosing the Log Mileage choice from the selection criteria. It will then ask them to select the vehicle they are making the entry from, the mileage the vehicle is on, and require a picture of the odometer for proof, before the driver submits it to the RAM Assist portal.

Check Points

This is submitted by the driver 1st choosing the Check Point option in the app. They will then be asked to select a vehicle, write a brief message and then take up to 3 pictures. The driver will also be asked if they need to log their time on site (as they can make an entry on arrival & another on departure) for the system to then calculate this. Finally, a signature capture feature is also available which would allow proof of delivery to be recorded too before they submit it to the RAM Assist portal.

Vehicle Checks

The driver selects this option from the app and then chooses the vehicle registration they are about to drive. They then select the date, enter the odometer reading and fill out the answers to the Vehicle Checks they are asked. Note: If they report a defect it will ask them to make a quick comment on the issue and allow them to take a picture too.

Fuel Purchases

The driver can record a Fuel Purchase by selecting this option from the list. They will then be asked to select the vehicle the purchase was made for, the date it was made on, and take a picture of the receipt too before submitting it to the RAM Assist portal.

Expense Claims

The driver can record an Expense Claim for any other business purchase by choosing this from the list. They will then be asked to select the vehicle they are driving, the company they bought it from, and enter a reason why, before entering the amount and taking a picture too so they can submit it to the Ram Assist portal.

Accident Reports

The driver can record an Accident Report by selecting this from the main screen on the App. It will then ask them to fill out the following:

  • Incident Details which include the registration, incident type i.e. where the accident occurred in the vehicle, a short description of the events on a voice recording, as well as any information relating to any injuries before selecting the date too.

  • Other Parties' details (if there are any), witness details (if there are any), images & voice recording from the witnesses as to their version of events too. Note: it will also ask if the driver has permission from the other party/witness to save & share their data with your insurer and your company.

  • Imagery of the vehicle damage and scene & surroundings damage will also be asked for before allowing the driver to submit it to the RAM Assist portal.

Vehicle Breakdowns

The driver can report a Vehicle Breakdown by selecting this from the main screen. Please note: if the details have been filled out in the RAM Assist portal they will also be able to see the service provider they need to call directly eg AA, Green Flag etc... They will then be asked to select the vehicle registration before entering a brief description of the incident details in order to submit it to the RAM Assist portal.

Vehicle Check History

The driver can select the Vehicle Checks History from the main screen in order to prove to an officer that they have been carried out over the last 14 days. It will then ask them to select the vehicle they are driving and the date range they want to retrieve the records for so it can produce the number of results found.

Order Parts, Tools & Materials

The driver can select the Order Parts, Tools & Materials option from the main screen to be taken to FFX's website. This will allow them to quickly find the nearest store and order the tools they require.
