When you log into RAM Live, you'll land on the vehicles page. From here, you can see the status of every vehicle, request video footage, or start a live stream.
What the Vehicle Status Means
Each vehicle has its registration and a status label:
Offline – The ignition is off and the camera has no power. You can still request footage, but it will only upload once the camera is powered on again.
Online – The camera is powered and ready to upload footage.
Live – The vehicle is currently on a journey with a strong 4G connection. You can live stream a short clip or request footage.
How to Request Video Footage
Video clips are 20 seconds long. If you need a longer section, you can request multiple clips.
Steps to Request Footage
Open the Vehicles page.
Pick the date of the journey you need.
Click the arrow next to the journey. This shows the video request option.
Select the camera view (front, rear or driver-facing).
Click Submit.
Requesting Longer Clips
For a 1-minute clip, you’ll need three 20-second requests. For example: 14:00, 14:20, 14:40. If you’re not sure of the exact moment, request an extra clip before and after.
Live Streaming a Journey
If a vehicle shows as Live, you can watch a 30-second live stream of its current journey. This is useful for real-time checks.
Checking Your Requests
Go to Events > Video on Demand to see your pending requests.
When the camera is next powered, your footage uploads automatically.
Completed uploads are marked with a camera icon.
Best Practices
Request only the times you need to avoid delays.
Use live streaming for quick visual checks.
Keep an eye on Events for status updates.
