Creating a LiveShare

Share a live tracking link with colleagues or customers who don’t have portal access.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

LiveShare creates a simple tracking link you can send to customers or colleagues. Perfect for providing ETAs without giving access to your full tracking system.

What is LiveShare?

LiveShare lets you create a basic version of your vehicle tracking that you can share with people who don't normally have access to your system. It's ideal for customers chasing ETAs or colleagues who need to know where a driver is.

Creating a LiveShare Link

Go to RAM Evolution and click the LiveShare option.

Set Up Your Share

  1. Click Create New LiveShare

  2. Choose which vehicle you want to share

  3. Set when you want the link to be active

  4. Set an expiry time for privacy protection

Privacy tip: Set the link to expire at a specific time (like 5 o'clock today) to protect your driver's privacy after the job is complete.

Managing Your Links

Once created, you can:

  • Edit the LiveShare settings

  • Delete the link when no longer needed

  • Copy the link directly to your clipboard

  • Click the link to preview what customers will see

What Customers See

When someone accesses your LiveShare link, they get a very simple interface showing:

  • Live vehicle location on a map

  • Basic tracking that updates in real-time

  • No access to your reports, driver data, or other sensitive information

The tracking updates at the same rate as your main portal, so customers get accurate, real-time information without compromising your system's security.

Perfect for Customer Service

LiveShare transforms customer service by letting clients track deliveries or service calls themselves.

Instead of multiple phone calls asking "Where is my driver?", customers can simply check the link you've sent them. This reduces interruptions to your business while keeping customers informed and satisfied.

The feature strikes the perfect balance between transparency and privacy. Customers get the information they need without seeing anything they shouldn't.
