Timeline provides a visual way to review vehicle activity over time. See at a glance when vehicles are moving, stopped, or idling throughout the day or week.
Finding Timeline
Access Timeline through RAM Evolution in the top menu, then select Timeline.
Understanding the Daily Timeline
The daily timeline is straightforward to read:
Left side: Midnight last night
Right side: Midnight tonight
Everything between: Today's vehicle activity
Activity Colours
Green: Moving with ignition on
Red: Stopped
Blue: Idling (ignition on but stationary for at least three minutes)
You can see exactly when a vehicle was parked and follow its movements throughout the day. For example, you might see that a vehicle was parked until 12:51, then started moving.
Weekly Timeline View
The weekly timeline view is perfect for monitoring work patterns and ensuring drivers follow schedules. You can check whether people are arriving at sites or setting off when they should be.
Using Guidelines
The Show Guidelines feature helps you monitor punctuality:
Set start time: Drag a guideline to your required start time (e.g., 8:30 for office arrival)
Check compliance: See if drivers are still travelling when they should already be at work
Add end time: Use a second guideline to mark the end of the working day
Monitor early departures: Ensure people aren't leaving earlier than they should
Example: If your team should be in the office by 8:30, you can quickly see that John Smith has been arriving on time every day because he's not still driving when he should be at work.
Multiple Timelines
Use the Multiple Timelines option to review several vehicles' activity simultaneously on a 24-hour basis. This gives you a comprehensive view of your entire fleet's movements.
Why the Timeline is Useful
The timeline view transforms complex tracking data into an easy-to-understand visual format.
Instead of reading through detailed reports, you can instantly see patterns in vehicle usage, identify punctuality issues, and monitor compliance with work schedules.
It's particularly valuable for managers who need to quickly assess whether their team is following expected routines and timings.
