Once you've set up your job templates and address book, creating individual jobs for your drivers is straightforward. This process allows you to assign specific tasks with all the necessary information and requirements.
Starting a New Job
From the Manage Jobs section, click Add New Job to begin.
Job Setup Process
Choose Your Template Select which job sheet template you want to use from the dropdown menu. This determines what information and fields will be included in the job.
Select Your Customer (if address book compatible) When using an address book compatible template, simply choose your customer from the dropdown list. This automatically populates their contact details and site information.
Name Your Job Give the job a clear, descriptive name that helps you and your driver identify it easily (e.g., "Training Example" or "Smith Property - Kitchen Install").
Adding Job Details
Upload Reference Files
The job details section displays any custom fields you've configured in your template.
For example, if your template includes a wiring diagram field, you can upload the relevant file here so your engineer knows exactly how to complete the work.
Simply click the upload button and select the appropriate file from your device.
Review Job Sheet Requirements
Below the job details, you'll see a summary of all the information your driver will need to complete and sign off. This includes any mandatory fields like signatures, photos, or completion confirmations you've set up in your template.
Scheduling and Assignment
Choose Your Driver(s) At the bottom of the job creation screen, you can assign the job to one or more drivers from your fleet.
Multiple Driver Assignment If you assign a job to multiple drivers, it works on a first-come, first-served basis. This means whichever driver completes and signs off the job first will complete it for the entire team. This is useful for jobs where you need any available driver to respond.
Set Date and Time Schedule when the job should be completed by setting the appropriate date and time (e.g., "booked for 11:30 today").
Completing Job Creation
Click Create to finalise the job. Your driver will immediately receive the job on their RAM Assist mobile app, complete with all the information, files, and requirements you've specified.
What Your Driver Sees
Once created, the job appears on your driver's mobile device with:
All job details and reference materials
Clear instructions on what needs to be completed
Digital forms for capturing signatures, photos, and other required information
The ability to mark the job as complete once all requirements are met
