The Alerts section helps you stay informed about key vehicle activity.
Watch the video below as Jamie explains how to set up distance and event alerts.
Exploring the Alerts Section
Open the Alerts menu on the left-hand side of your tracking portal.
Here, you’ll see different alert types you can create depending on the tracker installed.
For example, temperature alerts only work if you have a tracker with a thermometer sensor.
Setting Up Distance Alerts
Distance Alerts are useful for tracking mileage between services.
To create one:
Click Create at the bottom of the Alerts section.
Choose the recipient and vehicle for the alert.
Set the distance threshold; for example, every 12,000 miles after a service.
Click Create to save it.
Once active, you’ll receive an email notification every time the vehicle travels that distance, a handy reminder for scheduled maintenance.
Creating Event Alerts
Event Alerts send an email when a specific event occurs on a vehicle.
For example:
When a vehicle enters a low-emission zone.
When a private journey starts outside business hours.
When the tracker loses power or stops reporting.
To create an event alert:
Go to Create Event Alert.
Choose the event type you want to monitor.
Set the active days and times (most alerts run 24/7).
Select who should receive the email notification.
Choose the vehicle the alert applies to.
Click Create to add it to your alerts list.
Summary
Alerts keep you informed about key events and vehicle usage in real time.
Use distance alerts for service reminders and event alerts to monitor activity, power issues, or private mileage; all delivered straight to your inbox.
