The process for moving your tracker depends on the type of installation you have. Here's how to proceed for each type.
Types of Tracker Installations
Hard-Wired Trackers (Professional Installation Required)
If your tracker was hard-wired and installed by our engineers, you'll need professional help to move it to another vehicle. Contact our support team to arrange the transfer.
Battery-Powered Trackers (Self-Service)
For battery-powered trackers, moving is simple - just reverse the installation process. This takes no more than a couple of minutes to remove. You can find the installation information in our battery tracker installation guide.
How to Request a Transfer
Contact our support team to arrange the transfer of a tracking unit from one vehicle to another. They'll coordinate with you to schedule an engineer visit at a convenient time.
What to Have Ready
When you contact support, please have the following information available:
Vehicle details for both the current vehicle (removal) and new vehicle (installation)
Your contact details and preferred contact method
Site address where the transfer will take place
Alternative contact - if you want us to contact a different person for this service, have their contact details ready
Preferred dates and times for the engineer visit
Any scheduling restrictions - let us know if there are specific days or times when the transfer cannot take place
Scheduling
We'll do our best to accommodate your preferred date and time range. If an engineer is available during your requested time, we'll confirm the appointment. If no engineer is available, we'll work with you to find another convenient time.
The Transfer Process
During the visit, our engineer will:
Remove the tracking unit from the current vehicle
Install and configure the unit in the new vehicle
Test the installation to ensure proper functionality
Your Data is Safe
Moving your tracker doesn't mean you'll lose any data. All your historical information will remain easily accessible, and we'll handle updating vehicle details such as driver identity and registration number.
